The pagoda is in Ta Kou mountain at 475 meters high. Ta Kou mountain is about 649
meters above sea level. It stands along side in 1A Highway from HCMC 170 km, in
Tan Lap village, South Ham Thuan District, about 30 km to the South-West of
Phan Thiet City.

In 1879, a monk, named Trần Hữu Đức, built the pagoda. But before this, there
was also a small pagoda with leaf root and soil-wall. In recent, the orgin
pagoda was separated into two.

| One is located above called “Linh Sơn Trường Thọ”. The other was
called “Linh Sơn Long Đoàn”.

“Linh Sơn Trương Thọ” pagoda is the oldest pagoda in Bình Thuận province. It
also has the “Lying Buddha” status. It is 49 meters length and 10 meters high
which was build by Trương Đình Ý architect in 1962. This status is also
considered the biggest Buddha status in Asian.
Far away 50 meters from “Lying Buddha” is a collection of three Buddha status: A
Di Dà, Quan Thế Âm Bồ Tát, Đại Thế Chí. They are about 7 meters high.

Surrounding Ta Kou mountain is 25,000 ha national primeval forest.
Standing on Ta Kou mountain, tourists can see an imposing and peaceful scense.

The weather is cool and fresh through the year. An average temperature is from
18 C to 22 C

There are many small paths that are hidden in the forest. Some of them can lead
to top of mountain. So if you are free tourists, you should ask local people
for the right path. Walking through 2.4 kms to the top is really tired but, in
return, you can watch century-old trees and many violet flowers. The path is
easy to walk in the last 1.2 kms.
If you are not interested in walking in mountain, you can also reach the top by
using cable car. It also gives you a new and different feeling.

There are many people coming to visit pagoda on the mountain all year round
especially in spring season when flowers and climate are becomes fresh and
beautiful.
